Grants
We have been awarded grants to help with our work. We are very grateful to the organisations listed below. Their support has made a real impact on those who suffer from PEM diseases.
British Association of Dermatologists
£720.00
May 2022
Produce bespoke journals for patients to allow detailing of clinical visits, blistering, drug regimes, etc. The journals will include tips and suggestions and useful contact details relevent to PEM patients in addition to plenty of space for the patient to log details. We believe that documenting the patient journey allows the patient to provide better feedback to their specialist and be able to share experiences to support other patients.
National Lottery Community Fund
£4,000.00
June 2023
Hold a face-to-face Annual General Meeting of our volunteers (the PEM Council) and our members (patients and those who support them). The meeting will be in Croydon, London, will include a guest speaker, and will also facilitate members who cannot physically attend to take part viritually. The purpose of the meeting is to discuss stratedy, sub-groups and recent developments including research.
British Association of Dermatologists
£900.00
May 2022
Create a photographic library with searchable descriptive information for use by anyone but particularly primary care clinicians. The photographs will be donated by pemphigus and pemphigoid patients and the published photos will be selected by a professional clinical photographer. As part of the project, PEM Friends will develop and implement a web-based system to sort, filter and display the photos based on metadata collected from the patients.
